Our firm was retained to prepare an Heritage Assessment Report of a proposed large-scale development in the Port Dalhousie Heritage Conservation District. The district is located in St. Catharines, Ontario.

We reviewed existing heritage studies of the area, various conservation charters, and pertinent heritage legislation. We were asked to offer an opinion on the appropriateness of the development, provide design recommendations, and prepare a conservation plan for the developer. Work entailed historical research and an urban landscape analysis.

As part of the work we prepared a comprehensive set of measured drawings and archival record photography of the heritage buildings in the development area.
